The  properties of the versatile, non-specific or recycled material exceed the values provided by the traditional toy. Is  consider a material that  promotes the  imagination, which helps development, which is respectful of the environment, which allows multiple actions, which adapts to the developmental rhythms of children, which allows  investigate and  experience and which is highly sensory.  

In  the actuality is there  the upward trend in the use of this type of material over the traditional toy, reaching in some cases to be its substitute and in others to complement it. But always  priority is given to recycled, natural materials  or non-specific over the traditional toy.

The  the main reasons are the high sensitivity they provide, environmental protection, warmth and pedagogical values.

The main users are children between 4 months and 36 months.

To develop the design project, attention has been focused on the development of the fine psychomotor skills of the hands and touch since it is the vehicle by which the child carries out exploration and research actions together with the senses of sight, smell, hearing and taste.

A visual evolutionary grouping of the main actions carried out by the child from the moment of birth to the age of 3 has been made. There are many more, but the information provided by the  ergonomic study and design  of the objects is important enough  for the project

The secondary users are part of the group of professionals in the First Cycle of Early Childhood Education

modeling

The project requires  of various technologies and equipment to be able to develop it: a 3d printer, 3d and 2d modeling software. In this case Fusion 360 student version was used for  model the designs.

prototypes

It was considered  paramount  do  the  prototypes  printed  for  different essential issues. On the one hand the fact of  do  real designs  protected  the  idea On the other hand  band  the printing of the first prototypes served to make  a first evaluation of the toys: test and validate the designs, see the interaction of the main user and the assessment of the secondary user, improve the product  and be able to correct possible errors  or  other considerations and to calibrate the capacity and characteristics of the model.
