The Pla thread




Environmentally friendly materials

The threads chosen for the project had to meet specific characteristics, since one of the features that was pursued was that it was biodegradable or respectful of the environment. In this case the ideal material is flat filament.


Biodegradable and compostable


The flat filament (polylactic acid) is a plastic made from corn starch. It is biodegradable and compostable. It has a wide enough range of colors and allows a high accuracy of the prototype. In addition, it is non-toxic, file consulted at IMPRIMAKERS

Recyclable


The other material is the flexible thread, a recyclable thermoplastic. Non-toxic, sheet consulted at IMPRIMAKERS
